No. BANKEO operates under prudential regulations of payment institutions, and its services are therefore entirely supervised by competent authorities. An BANKEO account enables to carry out all types of day-to-day transactions such as payment transfers or credit card payments, but unlike a traditional bank account, the former cannot be overdrawn.
Absolutely. Your money is maintained under the highest standards of security in an account to which you alone have access. Moreover, BANKEO offers a service that relies on robust security protocols: encrypted HTTPS protocol, 2048-bit SSL certificate with TLS encryption, ECDSA with P-256 and SHA-256 algorithms).
Opening an BANKEO account is a simple process done directly online and in a matter of minutes. No more useless paperwork and endless mail exchanges: your login details and your IBAN are forwarded to you immediately after finalizing and validating your registration.
Any company in the process of setting up may deposit its initial capital in its BANKEO account either via wire transfer or credit card. We will also send you all the relevant documents in relation to the deposit, particularly the deposit certificate required by the Register of Commerce in order to validate the creation of your company and forward you your registration number. The deposit certificate is issued as soon as the funds are received.

If your business is still in the process of creation, BANKEO enables you to open an account and deposit your initial capital by wire transfer or by credit card, following which a deposit certificate will be issued. BANKEO is also available to foreign companies registered in France.
In order to open a BANKEO account, you need to provide the following documents:
  • Front and back copies of a valid photo ID;
  • Proof of residence issued in the last 3 months: electric bill, monthly rent statement, water bill, Internet bill, landline phone bill (mobile phone bills are not accepted).
  • Company registration certificate (Extrait K-Bis) of less than 3 months
  • Certified copy of the company’s articles of association; for companies in the process of creation, draft articles of association only.

Only a corporate officer is authorized to open an BANKEO account on behalf of the company.
Unlike our competitors who generally charge between 9€ and 30€ a month, subscription with IBANEO is entirely free!
  • No account setup fees
  • New company initial capital deposits along with the issuance of their deposit certificate required for their registration are free of charge
  • No monthly subscription fees; only account maintenance costs are incurred
  • The first 20 SEPA debit and credit transactions are free of charge; beyond that, each transaction costs 0.50€.
  • Non-SEPA transactions cost 5€ + 0.2% of the transaction amount
  • Irregularities management costs: 10€ per irregularity

In order to ensure absolute peace of mind in terms of managing your finances, BANKEO always checks your account balance before validating a transaction. Unlike a traditional bank account, your BANKEO account cannot be overdrawn, thus protecting you against debt.
BANKEO gives you the option to order physical payment cards, enabling you to withdraw money from any ATM around the world. Nevertheless, for obvious security reasons, we are unable to process cash deposits.
In view of the digitalization and dematerialization that characterizes our era, check have been gradually disappearing. For this reason, BANKEO does not accept check deposits nor does it issue checkbooks.
Our financial partner Contis Financial Services is PCI-DSS- and EME-authorized (Établissement de Monnaie Électronique), and authorized to store and process these types of feeds and data. Furthermore, only you have access to your funds.
BANKEO does not offer financing schemes such as loans or overdrafts. On the other hand, our EasyCash offer allows you to convert your invoices into immediate cash (subject to eligibility).
BANKEO operates in strict compliance with European regulation in terms of the use of personal data and rigorously applies CNIL recommendations for businesses. Neither your account password nor your card number is stored. We enforce the highest security standards to protect your personal data.
